Structure of the association
Horizontal governance
Governance is one of the key elements in giving ourselves the means to succeed in what has brought us together. Building for the long term requires particular attention to thinking and organising our "doing together". AutreSens proposes that its members operate according to the principles of horizontal governance, in the different circles as well as for the General Assemblies.
Each member undertakes to respect the framework put in place, i.e. listening to others, respecting each other's intentions and projects, confidentiality, individual sovereignty and kindness towards others.
Here are 3 tools we use...
A few tools
Circle operation
To make the principle of horizontality a reality, we sit in a circle during the sessions. After defining the aim and allocating roles (facilitator, timekeeper, reporter), everyone expresses themselves within the framework.
Circle of dreams
Before embarking on a project, we dream together. This allows us to sound out our intentions, gauge our motivation and that of others, and release energy. It also shows whether we share the same dreams and want to achieve them together. After that, we can move on to the more concrete phases of planning and taking action. Here's a link to apply the approach.
Decision by consent
This method enables a decision to be taken if no member of the group is opposed to it. It is carried out in a participative way by a very precise framework which can be consulted here.
